How to Write a Persuasive Essay on Abortion

How to Write a Persuasive Essay on AbortionMany prospective students for a degree in public speaking have either seen or read a sample persuasive essay on abortion. Unfortunately, their failure to look beyond the 'package' has ruined their chances of success in an academic environment. While sample persuasive essays on several other topics have been present for decades, it is only recently that more students are being exposed to persuasive essay writing in its true form. Usually, in a test-taking environment, a good essay covers several different topics. Students are often required to list a few examples of why they believe a particular point made in the essay. As is true with many subjects that require writing, these essays do not always cover all areas.A persuasive essay on abortion will need to cover the following points: the purpose of the law, the area it will affect, the effects on the individual, the effect on society, and how it will affect the unborn. In order to find these a nswers and identify new topics for the essay, one must really look beyond the appeal and suggestions provided in the sample essay. However, the goal of this article is to get you to think outside the box to come up with a topic for your own persuasive essay on abortion. The purpose of the law is clear - to protect the unborn from an unthinkable amount of suffering. Therefore, the focus of the essay should be on showing that the state does not violate the constitutional rights of the unborn. This will eliminate some of the argumentative tactics used by pro-choice advocates to try and prove that there is an undue pain of the unborn. However, when writing a persuasive essay on abortion, you must also consider the fact that the fetus may feel pain in the womb, but it cannot feel pain until after birth. The effects on society is important to identify because most people believe that society should protect the individual from harm. So, the focus of the essay should be on how those individua ls who are in society will benefit from the law. For example, the legal definition of life is often changed by legislative bodies. In this situation, the goal is to show how society benefits from the laws which are necessary to protect the unborn. The effects on the unborn will provide the best proof of the effectiveness of the law. Since the unborn cannot feel pain at this point, the focus is only on the changes in society that will take place for the unborn. A good example would be the increase in life-spans. If the law has increased the time between when the embryo is conceived and conception, then life is prolonged, allowing it to survive beyond birth. The method of killing the unborn is also important. The reason for the death should be documented as a method of eliminating the pain for the unborn. Although we all know that abortion is the procedure of choice, the state may choose the method for it to be performed. Therefore, the focus of the essay should be on the type of killin g and the method that is chosen by the state to accomplish the task.Public opinion will generally be unfavorable towards the unborn, but the benefits will outweigh the negative results. The goals of the state to protect the unborn should be given emphasis over any other views on the issue. By doing so, you will be able to properly structure and format a persuasive essay on abortion.
